I am a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at Duke University.

The main goal of my research is to examine the nature and origins of cultural beliefs and preferences—how they form, how they cohere, and how we can study them.

I explore how political learning leads to “ideological coherence,” focusing on how people come to hold consistent beliefs across issues and over time.
